My values
I aim to bring the philosophy of yoga into my work as well as my life. This means I will do my best to support you on your yoga journey, whilst providing structure and boundaries. These terms and conditions aim to give you clear, honest and fair information when making a purchase or booking.

Terms and conditions
General
Always make sure you are fit and healthy before practicing yoga face-to-face or online. If you are unsure of any part of the practice, do not attempt it. You are responsible for your own wellbeing whilst practising yoga. You may wish to seek advice from your doctor or healthcare professional before practising yoga.
These terms and conditions may be updated after time of booking. In this case, the updates will apply to all bookings.
Online Yoga
Yoga on Demand: This purchase is non-refundable. You will be emailed a link to all the videos on YouTube after purchase. This link is private and unlisted meaning only people who have purchased this package will have access. I politely request that you please do not share these videos. Please note, these videos will be available for a minimum of 2 years after purchase.
Live-stream online yoga classes: You must book the class/workshop at least 15 minutes before it is due to start. You can cancel or exchange your class one hour before it is due to start. If you book a class and don’t attend you cannot get a refund or exchange.
All classes will be recorded and the recording will be made available to those who have booked on and available for one week. It does not matter if you do not attend the live class, you still still receive the recording. I kindly request that you do not share this with others.
Concessions are made easily available on my website. I ask that you take a moment to consider if you really need to pay a concessionary price. If you own your own house, have a regular income, have a partner with a regular income, have savings and can afford to buy takeaway coffee, I would assume you can afford to pay full price. The choice is yours.
One-to-Ones:
Re-scheduling: Up to 24 hours before the appointment - please reschedule by using the link provided in your appointment confirmation email.
Cancellations: If you would like to keep your appointment credit to use another time then you must reschedule your appointment at least 24hours before the appointment. I cannot offer refunds or a rescheduled appointment for cancellations that have not been rescheduled within 24 hours notice.
Payment plans are available on bespoke healing packages of 6 or 12 sessions - just ask
When purchasing 3 yoga or reflexology sessions, these must be used within 6 weeks
When purchasing 6 yoga or reflexology sessions, these must be used within 12 weeks
When purchasing 3 astrology sessions, these must be used within 12 weeks
When purchasing 6 astrology sessions, these must be used within 24 weeks
Bespoke healing packages work best with weekly sessions, although there will be some flexibility around the 12 session packages
I reserve the right to cancel a session at any time. This would usually only be due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, and if you had prepaid, you would receive a full refund or the chance to reschedule.
Workshops and retreats - when you book through a third party
Some workshops and retreats are administered by the venue, who have their own terms and conditions. This includes Hawkwood College. In the case that you are no longer able to attend a workshop or retreat which is organised by a third party, you must contact them directly about refunds and transfers.
Workshops and retreats - when you book directly through me
If a workshop or retreat is handled directly by me, you must contact me as soon as possible to discuss a refund or transfer. Requests for transfers MUST be received before the event has taken place.
There will be an admin fee of 50% of the price of the workshop for refunds.
Retreat deposits are ALWAYS non-refundable if you cancel. You are welcome to transfer your deposit to a friend if you are no longer able to attend the event.
Final retreat payments are non-refundable unless I am able to find someone to fill your space.
Refunds and transfers are NOT possible after the workshop or retreat has taken place.
IMPORTANT: I cannot be held liable if for any reason it’s impossible to go ahead with retreat i.e. extreme weather. In this unlikely situation, I reserves the right to retain deposits. It is strongly recommended that you take out travel insurance for your retreat, which would cover you for cancellations made by either yourself or myself. Going on a retreat is a bit like planning a holiday - you need insurance for any unexpected incidents.
Teacher training courses
Any deposits are non-refundable. You are welcome to exchange to another course of the same value.
Payment plans are available but the full cost must be paid 6 weeks before the course begins.
If you need to cancel the whole course, you will be invited to join the following course plus any additional costs if the price has increased. HOWEVER - I cannot guarantee the course will run again. If this happens, you will lose your fee unless someone can fill your spot.
If you miss a day due to illness or unexpected circumstances then you can arrange a one-to-one catch up session with Mel at the cost of £250 a day. If more than one person needs to catch up, I will do my best to arrange a day you can catch up together, and share the price. The catch up day will take place online when possible.
If I need to cancel, you will be invited to join the following course or a refund will be offered.
You are responsible for your health and wellbeing during the courses. This is an educational, not therapeutic space.
If we enter into a lockdown-type scenario, yoga nidra training courses will be transferred online. Refunds will not be offered in this instance. Restorative yoga training courses will be moved to another date. If you cannot make this date you will receive the full balance minus deposit.
Yoga teachers’ support group
You book a six week course and pay for all six weeks, even if you miss a week. If I have to cancel a week, I will rearrange it to the next available date, ie. the next available Saturday.
